1. Scope of this privacy policy
This policy governs how personal data submitted through the Sumhuram Platform ("the Platform") — the unified investment guide for Dhofar Governorate — is collected, used, and protected. The policy applies to all users regardless of nationality or location, in accordance with the Omani Personal Data Protection Law issued by Royal Decree No. 6/2022 and its Executive Regulations issued by Ministerial Decision No. 34/2024.
2. Data we collect
We collect only the data you voluntarily submit through the expression-of-interest or contact forms: full name, company name (optional), email address, phone number, investor type (local/foreign/company), and your message. We do not collect any sensitive data such as genetic, health, racial, or religious information.
3. Purpose of processing
Your data is used solely to follow up on your request with the owning entity of the opportunity you expressed interest in. We do not use your data for marketing or advertising purposes, and we do not sell or share it with third parties except with the designated owning entity for the purpose of follow-up.
4. Consent to processing
By submitting the expression-of-interest form, you provide explicit consent for the processing of your personal data for the stated purpose. You may withdraw your consent at any time by contacting us at the email address below, without prejudice to processing carried out prior to withdrawal.
5. Your rights as a data subject
Under the Omani Personal Data Protection Law, you have the right to: access your personal data and records; correct any inaccurate data; request deletion of your data; withdraw your consent to processing; file a complaint with the Ministry of Transport, Communications and Information Technology if you believe your data processing does not comply with the law.
6. Data protection
Data is stored on secure servers with encryption in transit. We implement appropriate technical and administrative measures to protect data against unauthorised access, loss, or alteration. In the event of a data breach, we notify the Ministry and the affected user in accordance with the procedures set out in the Executive Regulations.
7. Data retention
Your data is retained as long as your follow-up request is active. When a request is closed, data is retained for a maximum of two years for auditing and review purposes, then permanently deleted.
